Inserting the sensor is super easy. It’s like putting on a small bandage. You can usually put it on your stomach, arm, or thigh. I chose the arm and my doctor never really offered any alternative, which is fine for me. Once it’s in, you can forget about it. 5 Steps to Insert the Ever since CGM<\/h2>

  2. Anesthetize the area:<\/strong> The provider give you a shot of lidocaine to numb the insertion area. (This is the most painful part of the procedure, but It’s just a shot)<\/li>
  3. Insert the sensor:<\/strong> Again you won’t see this but, you will feel pressure at the insertion sight. Easy peasy.<\/li>
  4. Secure the sensor:<\/strong> The provider will apply a Steri-Strip, a thin bandage and the two sided sticky pad that the sensor stick to.<\/li>
  5. Activate the sensor:<\/strong> Now you will use the app on your phone to locate the best position to apply the Eversense CGM and simply stick it there.
